    « RECORD »

      Disposition:
✫Selflessness: Luke wasn't, at first, he started out as incredibly selfish, due to his upbringing (being spoiled rotten by the servants in his manor and his parents). But after in game events (the literal destruction of a town, Akzeriuth, and ten thousand people by his hand), Luke worked on becoming more selfless in an effort to not make the same mistakes he did, and lose his friends in the process. In turn, his own character and attitude changes to one who will do anything to protect the world, doing anything and everything he can, even in the face of his own slow death. Though, his selflessness is also contributed by his need to be useful in some way or another, though this attitude does change near the end of the game.

✫Wears his heart on his sleeve: While he mostly kept it under wraps, Luke has his moments of being emotional, especially during situations out of his control. One instance was just after learning the fate of the world; Luke, being persistent about what he can do, is overcome by panic only to be talked back down to earth by a friend. The most emotional he gets is when he has to kill other human beings (in self defense), and he’s not afraid to show remorse; while he understands that situations, unfortunately call for it, he is very much against it. He leans towards pacifism, that if he doesn’t have to kill anyone, the better. When it comes to his friends, Luke will do anything for them to make them happy, including hiding his own terminal condition.

✫Determined: After the events at Akzeriuth, Luke vowed several things to himself: to not be an arrogant, spoiled royal, regain the lost trust of his friends, and to do whatever he could to somehow make up for the destruction of said city (not to mention, also saving the world). Luke’s the type of person to push himself to get whatever he needs to get done, within his capabilities; he would also go as far as sacrificing himself to get rid of the poison plaguing Auldrant called the miasma, despite his friends voicing their objections against the idea.

✫Sense of worth: Luke’s sense of worth throughout the game is tumultuous at best. The game starts off with him being insufferably arrogant, but when he finds out he’s a replica (a perfect copy of someone else), and when he destroys Akzeriuth (mostly due to being manipulated/betrayed by someone he trusted, but also the aforementioned arrogance), his own self worth tanks. The reason behind his creation as a replica also doesn’t help matters as he was created mainly to die in someone else’s place, as mentioned in the Score (a prophecy of the world, in a way). Throughout the game, he goes from someone who needs to be useful in some manner to gaining the confidence to exist without a purpose. With the help of his friends, and winning a final duel with his original, Luke eventually finds his own self worth, not as a replica, but as a person.

✫Observant: While naive at times, Luke is rather observant of his surroundings, as well as the people around him. He can pick up on certain nuances from other people; one example is one of the party members, Jade, and how he hides behind his glasses when he’s deceiving someone.

Suitability: Most challenges he can overcome easily if has the support of people around him, and in turn he’ll give it back ten fold, but if he’s stuck in a particularly vulnerable state (eg. he can get very depressed every so often), it does mess with his self esteem and worth (especially only gaining it so soon after arriving in Noctium). He can usually keep said depression away if he’s around other people or doing activities to keep his mind off things, but if Like has a moment to himself and he’s upset, he can be pretty self deprecating.

In terms of the changes due to the gembonds may, understandably, cause a massive panic if Luke isn’t anywhere near anyone who can talk him down from it; in canon, he usually has someone to calm him down before he can throw himself into a full blown panic attack. But that isn’t to say he’s completely dependent on other people to help him; if he has to, he’ll navigate through his own turmoil. He mostly would just prefer to have someone with him to help talk through his own feelings and emotions, as well as help calm him down. Another way to help him through any sort of depression or panic is to give him some set task to take his mind off things, and he usually does recover quickly if he does this.

He does thrive on the affection of others, though canon only explores platonic affection. It may be, in part, due to his upbringing, and while he’s not touch starved, per say, he does crave closeness of other people.

Condition upon arrival: Slowly dying; his body is literally molecularly falling apart. I’d like to request that his condition be slowed down! As for his mental state, he’ll seem like he’s fine, but mentally exhausted.

Abilities: Luke is pretty well versed in swordfighting, as it is his main weapon of choice. He also has special attacks called artes as well as a couple higher attacks called mystic artes. He also has an ability called Second-Order Hyperresonance which can tear apart and reconstruct objects and environments around him, as well as neutralize any other fonons around him. This, however, will be completely unavailable to use as it is a very game breaking ability.

Inventory: The clothes on his back as well as the Key of Lorelei.

      Gembond: Amethyst
Gem Location: Back of his right hand

    « MISCELLANEOUS »

Notes: Luke is made up of Seventh Fonons (fonons are basically the elements in the game, as well as acting as mana for spells and special attacks called artes). If he gets injured, he does bleed, but if it’s a minor injury, the bleeding will quickly be staunched. If it’s a serious injury, his blood will slowly start to dissipate into whips of Seventh Fonons.
